The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has said its 2027 election campaign will be issue-based and focused on the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration rather than personal attacks or unfulfilled promises.
The Director-General of the campaign council, Senator Abdulazeez Yari, disclosed this in Gusau, Zamfara State, after a closed-door meeting with Governor Dauda Lawal and traditional rulers in the state.
Yari said the APC would use the 2027 campaign to present the administration’s record to Nigerians and explain what the party intends to achieve if given another mandate.
According to him, the campaign would not be centred on making fresh promises but on highlighting the accomplishments of the APC-led government.
“Tinubu is beyond any other person. He is for Nigerians, and a leader that loves this country without any fear of contradiction,” Yari said.
The former Zamfara State governor also noted that his first official engagement as campaign council director-general was with traditional rulers because of their close relationship with the people and their important role in society.
He said seeking the support and blessings of traditional leaders was essential to the success of the campaign.

Governor Dauda Lawal, who hosted the meeting, said the engagement was organised to formally present Yari to the traditional rulers following his appointment as Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
Lawal described Yari as a son of Zamfara and appealed to the traditional leaders to support him in his new responsibility.
The governor also assured the campaign council that President Tinubu would receive the full support of the people of Zamfara State in the 2027 presidential election.
