President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on members of the All Progressives Congress to remain united and committed to national development, stressing that the party’s true strength lies in its cohesion and shared vision.
Speaking at the party’s 4th Elective National Convention held at Eagle Square, the President described the event as a pivotal moment not just for the APC, but for Nigeria’s democratic journey.
Addressing a large gathering of delegates, Tinubu reflected on the party’s growth since its formation in 2013, noting that it was established out of a collective determination to steer the country away from economic decline and towards sustainable progress.
“This convention is not merely a gathering; it is an opportunity to renew our bond, strengthen our resolve, and recommit ourselves to the ideals that brought us together,” he said.
The President emphasised that unity remains the foundation of political success, warning that internal divisions often driven by personal ambition and indiscipline pose a greater threat to parties than electoral losses.
The convention climaxes today.
