Adamimogo FC will on Sunday take another bold step in their remarkable Ondo State Federation Cup campaign as they face Sunshine Stars U-19 in the final of the competition at the Ondo State Sports Complex.
Having already secured qualification as one of Ondo State’s representatives for the forthcoming President Federation Cup preliminary round, Adamimogo FC now turns attention to finishing the campaign as state champions.
The club heads into the final full of confidence after delivering one of the tournament’s biggest surprises. Adamimogo stunned the senior team of Sunshine Stars F.C. with a hard-fought 1-0 victory in the semi-final, ending the Owena Whales’ impressive 31-year dominance in the competition.
That memorable result not only spotlighted Adamimogo’s growing reputation but also secured a deserved place in the final, where they now face a youthful and determined Sunshine Stars U-19 side.
Sunshine Stars U-19 booked their spot in the final after edging Akure North 1-0 in a closely contested semi-final encounter. The young side showed resilience to hold on for victory and will be aiming to cap their campaign with silverware.
For Adamimogo FC, today’s clash represents an opportunity to crown an outstanding FA Cup run with a historic title. The team will be looking to maintain its strong defensive discipline and attacking efficiency that have defined its journey through the competition.
The men’s final between Adamimogo FC and Sunshine Stars U-19 kicks off at 3pm, following the women’s final between Sunshine Queens and Onimarg scheduled for 1pm.
