A member of the House of Representatives, representing Ikeja constituency, James Faleke, has purchased the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship nomination form on behalf of Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, ahead of the 2027 election.
According to emerging reports, the form, said to cost ₦50 million, was obtained as part of early moves positioning Hamzat for a possible succession bid in Africa’s commercial capital.
The development is linked to an endorsement by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who expressed confidence in his deputy’s ability to lead the state.
Sanwo-Olu said Hamzat is well equipped and experienced enough to take over the reins of leadership.
