A former Chairman of Oluyole Local Government Area in Oyo State, Kehinde Olaosebikan, has formally declared his intention to contest for the Oluyole Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Olaosebikan made the announcement on Monday during the party’s weekly meeting in the local government, where he also donated a new secretariat to the APC as part of efforts to strengthen its grassroots structure.
The former council chairman, who previously served as Chief Press Secretary to late Oyo State Governor Lam Adesina, said he had begun consultations and mobilisation across party lines ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He also expressed strong support for President Bola Tinubu, pledging to work towards securing a decisive victory for the APC in the constituency.
According to him, the administration’s reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda would earn the President widespread support at the polls.
Olaosebikan further stated that he is committed to significantly increasing the President’s vote tally in Oluyole, noting that he aims to triple Tinubu’s support base in the constituency by 2027.
