One of the leading platforms on school related debates is back with a 2.0!
The youth-focused initiative called Dare2Debate is most concerned with informative dialogue and currently gaining attention for its mission to nurture critical minds and amplify young voices.
As we speak, Dare2Debate, an intellectual platform powered by HACmedia, is positioning itself as a space where public speaking intersects with critical thinking, giving students the opportunity to question, analyse, and articulate ideas that matter.
Recall that the initiative made its debut on December 16 last year at Falana Chambers, where students from three leading schools engaged in a contest of ideas. While CMS Grammar School emerged as the winner, organisers say the true success of the event lay in the confidence and intellectual growth displayed by participants.
Observers noted that the maiden edition created a platform where students who once struggled with self-expression were able to speak with clarity and conviction, reflecting the potential of structured debate in shaping young minds.
With support from brands such as Fidelity Bank, Indomie, E-Transact, and Wella, alongside strong media coverage, the organisers say the initiative has continued to grow in both scale and ambition.
The next edition is scheduled for June 13, 2026, at the University of Lagos, where 10 schools from across Lagos are expected to compete. Organisers promise a more dynamic experience, with deeper conversations and broader participation.
Beyond competition, Dare2Debate aims to foster meaningful dialogue among young Nigerians, encouraging them to engage with issues that shape society while building confidence and communication skills.
Feel free to share your debating ideas and ideals with us.
