President Bola Tinubu has said that no community in Nigeria will be left behind under his administration, noting that his government is laying the foundation for national prosperity.
Tinubu gave the assurance on Wednesday in Abuja during the inauguration of Phase I of the newly constructed 7-kilometre Kuje to Gwagwalada dual carriageway in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
He was represented at the event by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The President said that from the city centre to the farthest satellite towns of the FCT, his administration remains committed to building infrastructure that supports economic growth and improves the quality of life of citizens.
According to him, the Kuje–Gwagwalada dual carriageway holds both economic and geographical significance, as it will enhance connectivity and ease movement within the territory.
He noted that for decades, the road had been a death trap for commuters and traders, adding that those plying the route from Kuje, Gwagwalada, Kwali and surrounding areas often suffered losses of time, goods and, in some cases, lives due to insecurity and poor road conditions.
Tinubu stressed that criminals had previously taken advantage of the darkness and bad state of the road to operate freely, but said the new infrastructure would help change that narrative.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering projects that promote safety, connectivity and inclusive development across all communities in the country.
