The Lagos State Police Command has uncovered a suspected indoor cannabis farm in the Apapa area of the state, arresting two men, including a 49-year-old Polish national.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, identifying the suspects as Thomas Razvickas, 49, and James Chisome, 36, a Nigerian.
According to the police, the facility was discovered on November 2, 2026, at a residential property following credible intelligence received by operatives. The officers reportedly found a sophisticated indoor farming facility equipped for the cultivation, harvesting and processing of substances suspected to be cannabis.
Adebisi said the two suspects, who reside at the property, were arrested in connection with the discovery and are currently in police custody, where they have made confessional statements and are providing useful information to assist ongoing investigations.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Tijani Fatai, visited the scene to inspect the facility and receive updates on the investigation. He commended the operatives for their vigilance and intelligence-led operation, reaffirming the command’s commitment to combating drug-related offences and dismantling criminal networks.
Fatai also urged residents to continue providing credible information to the police, assuring them of the command’s commitment to maintaining security and tackling criminal activities across the state.
