The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has taken a significant step toward internal reform with the inauguration of a Constitution Review Committee, headed by senior lawyer Etigwe Uwa, SAN.
The committee was inaugurated on Thursday in Abuja by the party’s National Chairman, David Mark, who urged members to develop a framework that promotes inclusiveness, transparency, and accountability while remaining faithful to the party’s founding principles.
This move comes as part of the ADC’s broader strategy to strengthen its structures and boost its credibility ahead of the 2027 general elections. In July 2025, the party was selected as the coalition platform for opposition leaders seeking to challenge President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Since then, under the leadership of former Senate President David Mark as National Chairman and former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola as National Secretary, the ADC has been actively working to consolidate its presence across the country and win the trust of Nigerian voters.
