Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji on Tuesday received former House of Representatives candidate, Engr. Henrich Akomolafe, at the Governor’s Office in Ado-Ekiti, alongside his deputy, Chief Monisade Afuye.
The meeting followed Akomolafe’s recent declaration of support for Oyebanji’s second-term ambition ahead of the June 20 governorship election.
Addressing the governor, Akomolafe expressed confidence in Oyebanji’s chances at the polls, pointing to what he described as impactful governance, visible development projects and a leadership style rooted in grassroots engagement.
He said the administration’s achievements across the state would speak loudly during the campaign season and help consolidate public support. According to him, Oyebanji’s approach to governance has strengthened unity among Ekiti residents and reinforced trust in government.
The former federal lawmaker hopeful also pledged to mobilise his supporters and political associates across the state to back the governor’s re-election effort, urging voters to sustain what he termed a legacy of progress by returning Oyebanji for another term.
He commended the governor for granting him an audience and described him as a leader committed to inclusive governance and the overall development of Ekiti State.
