Apple of His Eyes School emerged as one of the standout performers at the maiden edition of the inter-school debate competition organised by Adamimogo 105.1FM in Ibadan as part of activities marking the 2026 Children’s Day celebration.
The event brought together students from different secondary schools and created a platform for young participants to display their intellectual abilities, critical thinking skills and public speaking talents on issues relating to education, society and youth development.
Students from Apple of His Eyes School and Loisem Private School engaged in intense but organised debate sessions, presenting well-structured arguments that earned praise from both judges and audience members.
Among the participating schools, Apple of His Eyes School attracted attention with its impressive performance, confidence and strong delivery throughout the various debate rounds.
Speaking with Adamimogo FM, teachers and representatives of the participating schools commended the initiative, describing it as an important avenue for students to build self-confidence and demonstrate talents beyond the classroom environment.
Some participants also expressed appreciation to Adamimogo FM for organising the programme, applauding the station for creating a platform that encourages academic excellence and healthy intellectual engagement among students. They equally commended the warm reception and organisation of the event.
The competition ended with the presentation of recognition and awards to outstanding schools and participants for their performances including Miss Omowonuola Boladale of Apple of His Eyes school.
