Canadian music star Celine Dion made a surprise appearance at Paris Fashion Week on Monday, performing her hit song “I’m Alive” during L’Oréal’s annual fashion show beneath the Eiffel Tower.
Dion emerged at the end of the show in a sleek black gown and received loud applause from the audience as she performed the 2002 hit. She later joined fellow L’Oréal ambassadors, including Viola Davis, Simone Ashley, Aja Naomi King and Eva Longoria.
The Quebec-born singer’s appearance comes amid her highly publicised return to live performances in Paris. She is scheduled for a 26-show run in the French capital, comprising 16 concerts in September and October and another 10 performances planned for May 2027.
Paris Fashion Week, featuring women’s spring-summer collections, runs until October 6, with major fashion houses including Dior, Tom Ford, Schiaparelli and Givenchy still scheduled to present their latest collections.
Dion’s return to the fashion spotlight also raises the possibility of her making further appearances at some of the season’s major shows.
