Ekiti North Traditional Rulers Praise Fasuyi’s Intervention in Power Supp
Traditional rulers and community leaders in Ekiti North Senatorial District have welcomed the distribution of four electricity transformers by Senator Cyril Fasuyi, expressing hope that the intervention will improve power supply and support local economic activities.
The beneficiary communities are Ayede and Oye-Ekiti in Oye Local Government Area, Usi in Ido/Osi Local Government Area, and Igogo-Ekiti in Moba Local Government Area.
Speaking at the presentation, the Olojudo of Ido-Ekiti, HRM Oba Ayorinde Ilori-Faboro, said the senator had demonstrated a commitment to community development even before his election to the National Assembly.
The monarch described the transformer distribution as a continuation of Fasuyi’s previous interventions in communities across the district.
Other traditional rulers and community representatives also welcomed the initiative, expressing optimism that the equipment would help address electricity challenges in their areas.
They included the Onigogo of Igogo-Ekiti, HRM Oba Sunday Adewumi; the Odofin of Usi, High Chief Arogbodo, who represented the Olusi of Usi; and Mr Adekunle David, Secretary of Ayede Local Council Development Area, who represented the Attah of Ayede-Ekiti, HRM Oba Abdulminini Orisagbemi.
The representatives noted that improved electricity supply could benefit households, small businesses and other economic activities that depend on reliable power.
The latest distribution follows earlier transformer interventions in other communities across Ekiti North, including Ayetoro-Ekiti, Otun-Ekiti, Iye-Ekiti, Ido-Ekiti, Ora-Ekiti, Ikole-Ekiti, Ilupeju-Ekiti, Oke-Ijebu, Temidire and Odo-Oro.
