The Ibadan Descendants Union, USA, has congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, on the occasion of his 82nd birthday.
In a congratulatory message signed by its Secretary, Oloye Mutiu Adebayo, the Union led by Dr Bolaji Adisa, described the monarch’s life of public service as a testament to dedication, experience and commitment to the development of Ibadanland.
The Union commended Oba Ladoja for his quiet but impactful strides as an administrator and traditional ruler, noting that his contributions across these spheres have helped project Ibadan and its rich heritage to greater prominence.
According to the Union, the Olubadan’s emergence on the traditional throne has further strengthened the place of Ibadan in the comity of kingdoms, while his wealth of experience continues to provide a valuable source of wisdom and guidance to the people.
The Union said Oba Ladoja’s reign represents an important chapter in the history of Ibadanland, given his long record of public service and deep understanding of the city’s social, political and cultural heritage.
