Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has approved the appointment of a seven-member committee to interface with the Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area following a recent deadly attack.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, said the committee will serve as a direct link between the state government and the affected community, particularly on humanitarian support.
The committee is chaired by Ahmed Kiwozi, a former lawmaker from Kaiama Local Government Area. Other members include the Vice Chairman of the Kaiama Local Government Council, Aisha Abubakar Sadiq, and Abubakar Mora.
According to the statement, the committee has been given four weeks to carry out its assignment and submit a report to the state government.
