The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA, confirmed that it sealed 12 establishments in the Ijora Causeway and Apapa areas of the state over persistent violations of environmental regulations.
The enforcement followed repeated warnings, abatement notices and several opportunities to comply with the Agency’s directives.
the General Manager of LASEPA, Dr Babatunde Ajayi, reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to protecting public health and preserving the environment through regular monitoring, compliance enforcement and implementation of environmental regulations across Lagos State.
He urged business owners, facility operators and residents to adopt environmentally responsible practices, obtain the necessary approvals, comply with regulatory requirements and support LASEPA’s efforts to build a cleaner, healthier and pollution-free Lagos.
