The Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) has entered the final week of preparations for the Fourth Lagos State Food Safety Conference and Exhibition scheduled to hold on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
The General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of LASCOPA, Afolabi Solebo, Esq., has called on policymakers, researchers, academics, food safety experts, industry regulators, market associations, innovators, students and members of the public to register and participate in the event.
The 2026 edition, themed “From Burden to Solutions – Safe Food Everywhere,” will bring together stakeholders across the food safety ecosystem to discuss emerging challenges and develop innovative and sustainable solutions.
The conference is scheduled to hold at NECA House, Plot A2, Hakeem Balogun Street, CBD, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, from 10:00 a.m.
According to Solebo, the annual conference has grown into an important platform for stakeholders to exchange knowledge, showcase innovations and develop practical responses to food safety concerns. Previous editions focused on themes such as “Food Safety – What the Consumers Need to Know,” “Safe Food, Better Health,” and “Food Safety: Science in Action.”
He said this year’s conference would focus on strengthening food safety systems, protecting consumers and promoting sustainable development through actionable solutions.
Solebo urged health and agricultural stakeholders, industry players, researchers, students, food safety professionals and the general public to register either as attendees or exhibitors and take part in the dialogue.
