The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Surulere Federal Constituency I, Dr Adefolaseye Adebayo, is accusing the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) of sabotaging her political campaign.
In a televised interview, Adebayo, a medical surgeon, alleged that LASAA selectively removed her campaign banners and left those of candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) untouched.
She said the officials explained that streetlight poles and other public infrastructure had been allocated to government-approved outdoor advertising practitioners.
However, she noted that the explanation offered did not account for why banners belonging to APC candidates remained at some of the same locations where hers had been removed.
