The Oyo State Government has inaugurated a Staff Audit and Verification Committee for the Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, as part of efforts to enhance transparency and accountability in the state’s tertiary institutions.
According to a statement on Tuesday by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade, the committee was inaugurated at the Scholarship Board Conference Room of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in Ibadan.
Speaking at the event, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Olusegun Olayiwola, described the initiative as a significant step in Governor Seyi Makinde’s commitment to building an efficient, transparent, and future-ready polytechnic system.
He maintained that the institution’s strength rests not only on academic excellence but also on the integrity and efficiency of its workforce.
“The committee is tasked with verifying staff records, identifying gaps, and eliminating redundancies to ensure optimal performance,” Olayiwola said.
The verification exercise, the government noted, reinforces its dedication to good governance and institutional reform.
