Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru has issued a warning to former Rivers State Governor and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, saying his administration should not be pushed into confrontation.
Nwifuru said the state has the capacity to respond to anyone who attempts to challenge or undermine it.
“Don’t push us. We have all it takes to consume whoever is trying us; we have all it takes to destroy whoever is trying us.”
The governor’s remarks come amid heightened political tensions involving Wike and political actors in the South-East.
Nwifuru stressed that Ebonyi would protect its interests and respond to actions it considers threatening to the state.

Meanwhile,
A member of the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has praised FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for what he described as significant contributions and sacrifices to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking about Wike’s political role, the APC lawmaker from Kano said members of the party had benefited, directly or indirectly, from Wike’s efforts in support of President Bola Tinubu.
Jibrin said Wike had made a “huge sacrifice” for the APC and argued that the former Rivers State governor had effectively handed the state to the ruling party.
He described Wike as an “asset to APC”, highlighting his political influence and contribution to the party.
