In response to the crisis, the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) have been deployed to assist in rescue and emergency response operations across the city.
The military teams joined the National Disaster Operations Centre, county emergency teams, and other rescue agencies in evacuating residents trapped in flooded homes and assisting stranded motorists.
