President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians not to allow religious intolerance throw the nation into chaos, saying that religion is a unifier and not a cause for division.
Speaking during the funeral service of the mother of APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, Tinubu said every Nigerian has the right to practice any religion under the law, insisting that no citizen should lose their lives over religious matters.
The president, who prayed for the repose of the deceased, urged religious leaders to teach and live a life of peace, as guides and models for their followers.
Tinubu is also scheduled to speak to church leaders from the Northern region at the COCIN Church headquarters in Jos.
