The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Abdulaziz Yari, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will secure re-election in the 2027 general election.
Yari said the same God who granted Tinubu victory in the 2023 presidential election would make it happen again, expressing optimism that the President would emerge victorious for a second term.
He made the remarks while speaking with journalists in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, where he joined President Tinubu and other Nigerians to perform Umrah, the lesser Hajj.
Yari said Tinubu’s reliance on God, coupled with what he described as the President’s achievements in office, would strengthen his chances in the 2027 election.
His comments came shortly after President Tinubu, during a media chat in Saudi Arabia on Friday, declared that he was trusting God for another term in office.
Yari also commended the President for praying for Nigeria and its citizens, describing the gesture as a demonstration of responsible leadership.
According to him, Tinubu first prayed for the country and its people, while acknowledging that God determines who occupies positions of leadership.

Yari maintained that the circumstances that led to Tinubu’s victory in 2023 would be repeated in 2027, expressing confidence that divine intervention would once again work in the President’s favour.
