The Founder of Christ Apostolic Church Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain, Prophet Sam Olu Alo, has condemned the growing influence of politics on Nigeria’s security challenges and called on the government to declare a state of emergency on insecurity across the country.
Speaking live on Adamimogo FM, the cleric expressed concern over the rising wave of kidnappings and abductions, citing recent cases in Ekiti State. He noted that such incidents received less public attention compared to similar cases in Oyo State, stressing that insecurity should be treated as a national issue regardless of where it occurs.
Prophet Alo urged security agencies and relevant authorities to intensify efforts to combat criminal activities and ensure the safety of citizens nationwide.
He also called on traditional rulers to play a more active role in addressing insecurity by working closely with the Federal Government and security agencies to tackle the menace.
Ahead of the next general elections, the cleric advised Nigerians to resist political manipulation and inducements from politicians. He urged voters to support credible and competent leaders capable of delivering good governance, fostering national development, and addressing the country’s pressing challenges.
According to him, the future of Nigeria depends on electing leaders with integrity, vision, and the capacity to improve the lives of citizens.
