Anticipation is building ahead of “The Gathering on 100,” a 100-hour non-stop event scheduled to run from April 22 to 26, as young Nigerians prepare for what organisers describe as a large-scale, youth-led social experience.
Driven by a collective known as The Gathering, the initiative reflects a shift in how younger generations are redefining social interaction, with a focus on creativity, collaboration and shared experiences.
With youths making up over 60 per cent of Nigeria’s population, demand for alternative engagement platforms continues to grow across sectors such as technology, finance, fashion and lifestyle.
Organisers say the event is designed as an immersive space where participants can connect, exchange ideas and build projects in real time, moving away from conventional networking formats.
In addition to professional engagement, the programme will feature a mix of lifestyle and entertainment activities, including fashion showcases, content creation hubs, styling stations, spa services, tattoo and piercing pop-ups, movie pods, gaming arcades and five-a-side football matches.
The organisers added that the event is aimed at creating a space where young people can express themselves freely while building meaningful connections.
