Gospel artiste Nich Oma, born Ozioma Nicholas, has attributed her rising profile in the gospel music industry to the teachings and mentorship of Christian leaders, particularly Onyeka Joseph Nzekwesi.
Nich Oma made the remarks while speaking on her newly released extended play (EP) titled Omeriwo, during a media briefing held in Owerri on Monday.
She described the cleric’s spiritual, moral, and ministerial guidance as a major influence on her career progression, saying his support has played a key role in her growing recognition within the gospel music space, particularly in the South-East and beyond.
“Constant moral support and ministerial opportunities with tangible honorarium which have contributed massively to the growth of my music career by my spiritual daddy Archbishop Dr Onyeka Nzekwesi are worthy of commendations,” she said.
The gospel artiste added that her new project, Omeriwo, is aimed at deepening listeners’ spiritual experience and drawing audiences closer to worship and the Holy Spirit.
According to her, the EP is designed to inspire “a deeper connection to and concentration of the Holy Spirit,” while elevating praise and worship among listeners.
Nich Oma, an indigene of Enugu State, is a songwriter, worship leader, and music minister known for blending Igbo and English expressions in her gospel sound.
