The National Population Commission (NPC), Oyo State, has witnessed a change in leadership following the formal handover of the State Directorate to the newly appointed State Director, Mr. Awolola Ademola Adedeji.
The handover ceremony, held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, marked the official commencement of Adedeji’s tenure as head of the Commission in Oyo State.
He took over from Mrs. Adegbite Adenike Olubisi, who led the Commission during her tenure and contributed to the implementation and advancement of its programmes and activities across the state.
Speaking on the transition, the Commission acknowledged Olubisi’s service, dedication and contributions, while expressing appreciation for her efforts during her time in office.
The new State Director, Mr. Awolola Ademola Adedeji, is expected to provide strategic leadership and drive the continued implementation of the NPC’s mandate in Oyo State.
Management and staff of the Commission have welcomed Adedeji to Oyo State and expressed optimism about a successful and impactful tenure.
The Commission also wished the former State Director continued success in her future endeavours.
