President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Abel Enitan as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF).
Enitan was inaugurated during a brief ceremony at the State House, Abuja, where he formally assumed the top administrative position in the Federal Civil Service.
He succeeds Didi Esther Walson-Jack, who retired from the Federal Civil Service after attaining the statutory retirement age of 60.
Enitan, who hails from Osun State, is the most senior Permanent Secretary in the Federal Civil Service. He has served as a Permanent Secretary for seven years and seven months.
Before his appointment as Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Enitan served in several government establishments, including the Ministry of Police Affairs, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, the Office of the Vice President and the Federal Ministry of Education.
Born on December 12, 1966, Enitan brings several years of experience in public administration to his new role.
His appointment places him at the helm of the Federal Civil Service, where he will be responsible for providing administrative leadership and coordinating the operations of the federal public service.
