Nollywood faith-based film, Agbara Nla: The Return, has generated about N70m from 12,134 admissions during its preview screenings ahead of its official release.
According to Nigerian Box Office, a Nigerian box-office analysis and consultancy platform, the film recorded the revenue from preview screenings held between September 25 and October 1.
The performance was described as the biggest single-day preview gross recorded in West Africa for the period.
The 12,134 admissions also placed the film at the top of the 2026 first-day admissions figures, while its N70m gross was reported as the highest first-day gross for a Nollywood film this year.
The film also recorded the highest single-day gross for October during the period covered by the report.
Distributor of the film, Nile Entertainment, had earlier announced that Agbara Nla: The Return achieved the biggest first-day gross for a Nollywood title and the biggest opening for a faith-based film.
The distributor said the film had recorded “the biggest first-day gross for a Nollywood title” alongside “the biggest faith-based opener of all time” and the biggest single-day preview gross in West Africa.
