The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Oyo State has officially concluded the second phase of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, effective Friday, 17th April 2026.

In a related development, the Commission has also commenced the Display of the Preliminary Register of Voters for Claims and Objections. The display period runs from Monday, 13th April, to Sunday, 19th April 2026, in alignment with the Commission’s nationwide timetable for the CVR exercise.

This was disclosed in a media release issued by the Office of the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Oyo State, Prof. Adeniran Rahmon Tella.

According to the statement, the Preliminary Register will be available for public inspection at all 33 INEC Local Government Area offices across the state. The display will take place daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Prof. Tella explained that the display exercise is designed to enable members of the public to check, verify, and confirm their biometric details on the voter register. Any citizen whose information has been captured incorrectly will have the opportunity to request a correction.

“The exercise is also meant for those who applied for transfer, correction of personal details, or replacement of lost or damaged Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to visit the display center to confirm if their requests have been duly effected,” the REC stated.

He explained that the process cannot be done by proxy, meaning affected individuals must appear in person at the designated display centers.

Also, Prof. Tella urged all eligible citizens to take full advantage of this window to ensure the accuracy and credibility of the final voters’ register. He warned that all claims and objections must be submitted within the stipulated period, as no requests would be entertained after the close of the exercise on Sunday, 19th April 2026.

The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to a transparent and credible electoral process, with the display period serving as a critical checkpoint for data integrity ahead of future elections in the state.

Having represented Germany in various youth categories, including the U-16s, U-17s, and U-21s, Adeyemi made his senior debut for the German national team in a 6–0 victory over Armenia in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier on September 5, 2021, scoring his first goal for the senior team as a late substitute in injury time. Despite being named in the German squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Adeyemi did not appear in any matches, as Germany exited the tournament in the group stage.
