Dr Adewale Kolapo Kareem has formally entered the race for the Oyo State governorship ticket under the All Progressives Congress (APC), after obtaining the party’s expression of interest and nomination forms.
Kareem picked up the forms at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja, describing the move as a reflection of his commitment to democratic principles and party loyalty.
“This decisive action speaks to my identity as a thoroughbred democrat and a loyal party man who respects the institutional sanctity of our great fold,” he said.
With his declaration, Kareem joins a growing list of contenders jostling for the APC ticket, including former Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, former Deputy Governor Rauf Olaniyan, and Akeem Agbaje.
The aspirant commended the party leadership for what he described as a transparent and credible nomination process, noting that the APC continues to uphold democratic values.
Kareem said his ambition is driven by a clear vision to advance development in Oyo State, promising to bring purposeful leadership and strategic direction if given the opportunity.
