The Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, through the Lagos State Examinations Board, has successfully concluded the second run of the 2026 Computer-Based Test (CBT) Screening Exercise.
The completion of the second run marks the end of the 2026 screening exercise, which began with the registration of prospective candidates and progressed through the first run of the examination.
The Board said the entire exercise was characterised by careful planning, effective coordination and professionalism, with emphasis on ensuring a smooth and credible process for all candidates.
The second run was conducted in a calm and orderly atmosphere, with candidates attending their scheduled sessions and complying with the rules and guidelines set for the exercise.
The final day of the examination was also described as peaceful and well coordinated, bringing the 2026 CBT Screening Test to a successful close.
According to the Board, examination officials, technical personnel, security operatives and other stakeholders worked diligently throughout the exercise to ensure that candidates undertook their tests in safe and conducive conditions.
The successful conduct of the exercise, it said, demonstrates the effectiveness of the Board’s preparations and its commitment to delivering a transparent, efficient and credible screening process.
The Registrar of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu, reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to strengthening its processes and embracing appropriate technology to improve the efficiency, credibility and overall experience of its examinations.
Orunsolu noted that the adoption of the CBT screening test underscores the Board’s efforts to modernise examination administration and provide candidates with a more efficient and structured assessment process.
The Registrar expressed appreciation to all stakeholders who contributed to the successful conduct of the 2026 CBT Screening Test.
He specifically acknowledged the Honourable Commissioner and the Permanent Secretary for Basic and Secondary Education for their contributions and continued support throughout the exercise.
The Lagos State Examinations Board said it remains committed to fulfilling its mandate of delivering credible, efficient and well-organised examinations across the state.
