Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Sunday paid a visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his residence within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Makinde was accompanied by former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola and former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi.
The Oyo governor disclosed the visit in a post on his verified X account, where he shared photographs from the meeting.
According to Makinde, their discussions centred on key national issues and the country’s political landscape ahead of the forthcoming general election.
“Earlier today, we visited Baba, His Excellency Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, in Abeokuta. Our discussions centred on important national issues in view of the upcoming general election,” Makinde wrote.
Although details of the meeting were not disclosed, the visit comes amid increasing political consultations and alignments ahead of the next general election, with major political stakeholders holding strategic engagements across the country.
