Governor Seyi Makinde has reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening security in Oyo State, describing it as a critical foundation for sustained economic development.
The governor made the assertion during a dinner held in honour of participants of Syndicate 5 of the Executive Intelligence Management Course 19 of the National Institute for Security Studies. The event took place at the Local Government Training School Hall on Saturday.
Makinde, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Musibau Babatunde, emphasised the importance of collaboration among security agencies in maintaining peace across the state.
“Effective collaboration and synergy among security agencies have been instrumental in sustaining peace and safeguarding the lives and property of the people in the state,” he said.
According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju, the governor assured that his administration would continue to invest in and reinforce the state’s security architecture.
He noted that maintaining a secure environment remains essential for attracting investments, boosting economic activities, and ensuring the overall well-being of residents.
