The Obi-Kwankwaso Movement has unveiled a 59-member presidential campaign council as it begins preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The council, announced in a statement on Thursday, comprises zonal and state coordinators alongside directors overseeing key areas of the campaign structure.
Director-General of the movement, John Ughulu, was appointed Director-General of the campaign council, while its National Secretary, Saadatu Sani, is also listed among the campaign leadership.
The structure provides representation across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones and the Federal Capital Territory, with coordinators designated for each of the 36 states.
Other positions include directors for grassroots mobilisation, women’s affairs, contact and engagement, special duties, procurement, information technology, legal affairs, strategy and planning, security and intelligence, and administration.
In a congratulatory message to the newly appointed members, Sani described their selection as a call to service and urged them to take the movement’s message to communities across the country.
She said the responsibility entrusted to the campaign council was significant given the political importance of the 2027 elections.
“Your selection is not merely an appointment; it is a call to duty, sacrifice, leadership and service to Nigeria,” Sani said.
She added that members of the council would be expected to discharge their responsibilities with commitment as they work to advance the agenda of the movement’s principals ahead of the elections.
