The Obidient Movement has announced the next phase of its political engagement, declaring alignment with the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) as its new platform for mobilisation and national participation.

In a statement signed by the National Coordinator of the Movement, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, the group said the development follows the decision of its key political figure, Peter Obi, to disengage from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in search of what it described as a more stable, credible, and value-driven platform for national transformation.

The statement further noted that Obi has also registered alongside Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso in what it described as a broader effort toward political realignment.

According to the Movement, the transition to the NDC represents a strategic step aimed at strengthening national renewal through a united and functional political structure that can better advance the aspirations of Nigerians.

Members of the Obidient Movement have been directed to proceed with registration into the Nigeria Democratic Congress at their respective wards.

A digital registration platform has also been provided to facilitate membership enrolment for Nigerians both within the country and in the diaspora via https://ndcregister.com/.

The group stressed that the move is not merely a political shift but a continuation of its commitment to building a “New Nigeria” anchored on accountability, competence, and service to the people.

It called on members to remain united, focused, and resolute as it works toward what it described as a political platform that reflects the will and aspirations of Nigerians.

“A New Nigeria is possible,” the statement added.
