The First Lady of Osun State, Titilola Adeleke, led a group of women to the state police command headquarters in Osogbo to protest alleged intimidation of voters and demand a credible governorship election on August 15.
Adeleke, accompanied by the Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Ayobola Awolowo, and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Market Affairs, Eniola Omotoso, marched from Lameco through the West Bypass to the police command headquarters.

The women appealed to President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the growing threat to the safety and demanded the redeployment of the Osun State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Gotan, alleging perceived partisanship.
Also NLC chairman Osun state Arapasopo Abimbola , called on security agencies to be proactive in the protection of lives and properties so voters can cast their votes without interference .
According to them, all reported cases of violence and unlawful conduct should be investigated and appropriate legal actions taken against the culprits.
