Henry Okoye, elder brother of the estranged P-Square twins, Peter and Paul Okoye, has expressed doubts that the former music partners will fully reconcile, saying their prolonged dispute may have caused lasting damage to their relationship.
Henry made the remarks during an interview with social commentator Jos Connection at the family’s residence in Plateau State on Friday, where he spoke about the latest developments in the long-running disagreement between the brothers.
According to him, Peter has made efforts to resolve the crisis, but he is uncertain whether the twins can rebuild the close relationship they once had.
Henry, however, appealed to Paul to consider ending the feud, recalling the support Peter provided to his twin brother during a period when Paul was hospitalised.
He also spoke about the role of their elder brother, Jude Okoye, in the family’s earlier disputes, alleging that disagreements over the management and sharing of the group’s earnings contributed to tensions within the family.
Henry claimed that he and his brothers had initially agreed to give him a share of their earnings once they became successful, but said the arrangement was later rejected after Jude became involved.
“Peter is trying. I don’t know if Jude used juju on Paul because he was the nicest person in the family before. But the way he changed is surprising,” Henry said.
He added that he had followed Peter’s accounts of what transpired between the brothers and remained hopeful that the family could eventually find a way forward.
While expressing his desire to see the twins reunite, Henry admitted that he was not confident it would happen.
“I will be happy for them to come back together but I don’t think it will happen. Paul was a very kind person,” he said.
