The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the Ekiti State election, Wole Oluyede, has alleged intimidation by policemen at his polling unit Osagulu Hall, Ward 3, Unit 6, describing the conduct of security operatives as a major concern in the ongoing electoral process.
Oluyede, who spoke shortly after casting his vote, claimed that the presence and actions of some security personnel at the polling unit created tension and discomfort among voters.
He alleged that the situation undermined the credibility of the exercise, insisting that the process fell short of expectations for a free and fair election.
The PDP candidate further described the governorship poll as “flawed,” citing what he called incidents of voter intimidation and irregular conduct at his polling location.
According to him, the developments were serious enough to warrant legal review, as he threatened to approach the court to challenge aspects of the electoral process if necessary.
