Phoenix Athletics Sport Limited, the official managing company of the Prof Akin Oyebode Cup, has released the full match fixtures for the 2026 edition of the competition.
The 5th edition of the tournament, tagged “Building to Last,” will kick off on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. All group stage matches will be played at the Ikole Township Stadium.
Following the draws conducted on July 14, the release of the fixtures now allows teams to plan effectively as they prepare to battle for honours in the popular grassroots competition.
The centralised venue for the group stage is expected to create a vibrant atmosphere and make it easier for fans, scouts, and stakeholders to follow the action.
The tournament is being organised in partnership with Afriskaut and Sofascore to improve data collection, player scouting, and the overall quality of the competition.
Organizing Head, Pelumi Abiara, is currently undertaking a consultation tour across all 16 Local Government Areas to engage with football heads and ensure maximum cooperation and smooth execution of the event.
