President Bola Tinubu has congratulated legendary Nigerian musician, Chief Sunday Adegeye, popularly known as King Sunny Ade, on his 80th birthday, describing him as an icon of Nigerian and African music.
In a statement issued by the State House on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, Tinubu praised the juju music maestro for his eight decades of musical excellence, cultural ambassadorship and contribution to Nigeria’s creative industry. He said Ade’s talent and creativity had brought joy to millions of people across generations.
