Nigerian Afrobeats stars Tiwa Savage and Seyi Shay have officially ended their five-year-long feud, putting behind one of the industry’s most talked-about rivalries.
The reconciliation comes about six months after Seyi Shay publicly expressed her willingness to make peace during an interview, signaling a possible thaw in relations between the two artistes.
The feud, which became widely known in 2021, escalated after the pair were involved in a heated confrontation at a salon in Lagos. At the time, Tiwa Savage had alleged that the conflict stemmed from a diss track and accusations that she attempted to block opportunities for other female artistes.
In a now-viral video circulating online on Thursday, both singers were seen sharing a warm embrace, sparking emotional reactions from fans and observers.
The moment took place during the grand finale of the ‘Berklee in Nigeria Class of 2026 Graduation Concert’ held in Lagos, where their public display of reconciliation drew loud cheers from the audience.
The reunion appears to mark a new chapter for both artistes, bringing closure to years of tension and speculation within the Nigerian music scene.
