The African Democratic Congress has issued a direct invitation to several prominent political figures, including Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde to join its ranks.
The appeal was announced following the inauguration of the party’s North-East Zonal Congress Committee in Gombe State, which the ADC described as part of a wider push to strengthen its internal structures and promote democratic practices within the party.
The party’s factional National Chairman, Nafiu Gombe, disclosed the outreach in a communiqué released on Tuesday. Among the high-profile names specifically invited were Governors Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa), Alex Otti (Abia), former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio alongside Governor Seyi Makinde.
Gombe stated that the ADC believes the experience, leadership, and patriotism of these individuals are “crucial in uniting efforts to make Nigeria great again.” The party emphasized its commitment to offering a credible, inclusive, and progressive alternative focused on good governance and sustainable development.
