Popular Nigerian comedian and social media personality Samuel Perry, widely known as Broda Shaggi, has been hospitalised after he was reportedly shot while filming a comedy skit in the Sango-Ota area of Ogun State.
Sources said the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon under the Sango-Ota bridge in Sango-Ota.
Although details surrounding the shooting remain unclear, a police source who spoke on condition of anonymity said the content creator sustained the gunshot injury during the filming of a skit at the location.
According to the source, the comedian’s crew members immediately rushed him to Blooming Care Hospital where he received initial medical attention.
“He was shooting a skit under the Sango-Ota bridge when he sustained a gunshot injury. We don’t have details on how it happened yet, but his crew members who were present quickly rushed him to the hospital,” the source said.
Medical personnel at the facility reportedly administered first aid upon his arrival before further medical steps were taken.
Further findings indicated that the comedian was later transferred to Duchess International Hospital in the Government Reserved Area of Ikeja, where he is currently recuperating.
