Ahead of the 2027 Oyo State governorship election, Accord governorship candidate, Oriyomi Hamzat, has dismissed descriptions of his party as merely a “third force” in the state’s political landscape.
Hamzat, who recently joined the Accord Party and declared his intention to contest the governorship election, said his ambition is driven by a desire to provide voters with a credible alternative to the established political parties.
Speaking in an interview with Adamimogo FM Ibadan, Oriyomi maintained that the growing support for his candidacy should not be viewed simply as an attempt to disrupt the contest, but as part of a broader demand for a new direction in Oyo State.
