The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the expulsion of 11 members over actions it described as inconsistent with the party’s constitution and core values.
The decision was reached at the party’s National Convention held on April 14, 2026, at the Rainbow Event Centre in Abuja.
Those affected include Leke Abejide, Nafiu Bala Gombe, Kingsley Temitope Ogga, Don Norman Obinna, Kennedy Odion, Clement Ehigiator, Stella Chukwuma, Patrick Ambut, Johny Tovie Derek, Duke Dick, and Elias Adikwu.
According to the party, the expulsion followed the adoption of a disciplinary motion presented before delegates and ratified during the convention presided over by the National Chairman, David Mark.
The ADC stated that the affected individuals have ceased to be members of the party with immediate effect and are free to join other political platforms if they so wish.
Reaffirming its stance, the party said it remains committed to upholding discipline, internal democracy, and the rule of law as it seeks to strengthen its position as a credible political alternative in Nigeria.
The statement was signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi.
