Former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, has reportedly been arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja after arriving from Enugu aboard a chartered flight.
According to reports, Nnaji is expected to be handed over to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for questioning.
The anti-corruption agency has reportedly been investigating the former minister since his resignation from office last year over allegations that he forged his academic certificates.
Nnaji stepped down as minister on October 7, 2025, following claims that he falsified his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) credentials.
The ICPC has yet to issue an official statement on the reported arrest or the status of its investigation.
