The Chairman of Ifelodun Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mayor Olufemi Akanbi Okeowo, says his administration has prioritised projects that will deliver lasting benefits to residents, including the construction of a fully equipped hospital awaiting commissioning.
Okeowo said the hospital is one of several landmark projects undertaken by his administration to improve healthcare delivery and enhance the quality of life for people living in the council area.
He added that the council has also invested in infrastructure development through the construction of interlocked roads, installation of street lights and other community projects designed to create a safer and more business-friendly environment.
The council chairman disclosed that his administration operates an economic empowerment programme that provides grants of ₦100,000 to selected petty traders and small business owners.
According to him, beneficiaries are regularly monitored to ensure the funds are used for their intended purpose and contribute to the growth of their businesses.
Okeowo attributed the council’s development strides to increased allocations from the Federal Government, saying the improved revenue has enabled the administration to execute more projects and expand support programmes for residents.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining developmental initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, healthcare and economic opportunities across Ifelodun LCDA.
