The Lagos State Government has introduced dedicated Security Tip Lines that allow residents to confidentially report security concerns using videos, pictures, and text messages.
The initiative, unveiled through the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), is part of efforts to strengthen intelligence gathering and improve community security across the state.
According to the agency, the Security Tip Lines are messaging-only platforms designed to help residents easily share credible information relating to suspicious activities and security threats in their communities.

The government stated that the platform was created to encourage better collaboration between citizens and security agencies while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Residents can submit videos, photographs, and text-based reports, which will then be reviewed and forwarded to the appropriate security agencies for immediate action where necessary.
Speaking on the initiative, LSSTF CEO/Executive Secretary, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan Dr. Ayo Ogunsan stressed the importance of public participation in strengthening security efforts.
“It’s just video messages and pictures to serve as evidence. When we get the information, we filter them out and send to appropriate agencies for immediate actions. This intervention is for members of the public who are trying to reach out to security agencies but don’t know how to do so,” he said.
The initiative is expected to improve communication between residents and authorities while helping security agencies respond faster to emerging threats across Lagos State.
