The Lagos State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting and strengthening the real estate sector by promoting professionalism, transparency and regulatory compliance among practitioners.
The Coordinating Director of the Lagos State Real Estate Regulatory Authority (LASRERA), ESV. Mrs. Temitope Akinbola, stated this during the General Meeting of the Estate Rent and Commission Agents Association of Nigeria (E.R.C.A.A.N.) held at the Secretariat Hall, Igando-Ikotun LCDA.
The meeting, themed “Importance and Benefits of LASRERA Licence to Real Estate Practitioners in Lagos State,” provided an opportunity for the Authority to educate practitioners on the importance of obtaining the appropriate LASRERA permit and complying with relevant regulations.
Akinbola explained that obtaining a LASRERA permit demonstrates that a real estate practitioner is registered and recognised to operate in Lagos State, while also enhancing credibility and giving clients greater confidence when engaging practitioners for property transactions.
She added that the permit goes beyond registration, as licensed practitioners can benefit from professional development opportunities, including capacity-building and stakeholder engagement programmes organised by LASRERA.
According to her, such platforms enable practitioners to network, exchange ideas and stay informed about developments and regulatory requirements within the real estate sector.
Akinbola assured practitioners that the Lagos State Government, through LASRERA, would continue to engage stakeholders and provide platforms for dialogue aimed at improving professionalism, compliance and service delivery across the sector.
The event ended with the presentation of LASRERA permits to members of E.R.C.A.A.N., marking a further step towards strengthening regulatory compliance among real estate practitioners in the state.
